Earl Atkin’s Cargo Eagles
These Cargo Eagles were assembled and fitted with scratch built cargo pallets, assembled from tube, sheet, and strip Evergreen styrene. The cargo winch cable housings started with a simple toilet paper tube, wrapped in 030 sheet styrene to give it strength while the glue set up. Using Chris Trice’s photos of the pallet and winch, from the net, I enlarged the photos to the appropriate size to fit the Eagle. Engine bells from the passenger pods were attached to the bottoms of each pallet.
Radiation canisters were made from wrapped sheet styrene, and parts from a 1/35 Dragon Panther kit. Markings for the canisters were copied , pasted, and printed on paper, and applied to the canisters.
The magnetic grapple was also scratch built from Panther wheel parts.
