Remembering Tom Parker
Family and friends gathered in Bel Air, Maryland this past weekend to remember Tom Parker, who died on August 26, 2017. I attended the wake, along with Frank Winspur from Moebius Models and Jeff Waclawsky from JTGraphics. To us, Tom was a passionate modeler who loved classic Aurora monsters and everything to do with Batman. To his family, Tom was a brother and son, an Eagle Scout, a practical joker, and a talented entrepreneur.
After the wake, Jeff, Frank and myself went over to the cemetery to pay our respects. Tom was buried near his father.
Frank left an old tube of Aurora model cement. An appropriate tribute to our friend
It was a pleasure to meet his brothers, Fred and Bill, and his mother Sarah. We got to meet the lovely lady he took to his high school prom.
We also stopped by the local hobby shop, Hobby Works, where Tom was well known.
We’re all going to miss you Tom. But we’ll always remember you.
