Tom Hering’s Silver Age Wonder Woman

This is the 2010 Moebius copy of Aurora’s Wonder Woman, first released in 1965. I built it straight out of the box except for two small modifications. The mounting peg under Wonder Woman’s right foot was cut off and replaced with a new peg – one that isn’t visible after assembly. The shapeless hondo on Wonder Woman’s “Lasso of Truth” was replaced with a new hondo (small loop knot) made of sprue. This was attached to the rope with super glue and a tiny metal pin. The kit was hand-brushed with acrylics and oil enamels, and finished with Future for a glossy retro look. The stars on Wonder Woman’s costume and the eyes of the monster octopus are decals from JT Graphics.
