This is a motorized, fully lit up model from Disney’s 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea (1954). The kit is a resin & white metal 31″ Scott Brodeen design and has been modified with a variable 3 speed RC motor for the prop, control switches to configure ALL of the lights as seen in different parts of the movie, and a movable rudder. Some other smaller detail parts were added that were not included with the original kit.

The switches are mounted inside and below the removable topside spine plates section. Its powered by a 12 v AC adapter that plugs in from the lower hatch and into a regular household plug. The squid is actually a Safari Ltd. rubber/vinyl toy that was hand painted by myself with spots and modified eyes, mounted in a way to be removable from the baseboard/stand. Model, stand, and nameplate were painted by hand and with a “rattle can”, no airbrushing at all.
