William Mattes’ Mummy

The mummy is a Geometric kit and was painted with acrylic paints, and finished off with pastel shading cakes. A base coat of black was first applied and then the kit was dry brushed with browns, tans and whites. The pastels accented out some of the details especially in his face. The base was built by me out of styrofoam pieces that I sculpted and then glued together and painted greys and browns to give it that old weathered look.
