Sylvain Rivest’s Gigantics Scorpian diorama

Using the scorpion of the Gigantics series and re purposed 1/35 scale figurines and accessories from an old WWII diorama , i just love using this scale with the AMT kits (did the same thing as on my previous praying mantis diorama).

The old Berlin city center in 2750 A.D., has a huge pest problem, meet the crew of the 320th pest control unit ‘’Auslander gruppen ‘’.  A very un-orthodox crew , to say the least .

The steel girders were fabricated using HO steel girder set augmented with sheet styrene painted and weathered with enamels, oil paint and pastels.  The concrete debris and wall section were sculpted using balsa foam, groundwork is done the usual way, using sculptamold as a base and a fine sand and pebbles mixture, I use Humbrol dark earth enamel (flat no. 29) and dry brush the ground with the enamel and titanium white oil paint (gradually applying lighter shade to the top surfaces).

Always great fun modelling these subjects .
