Steven Vasko’s Space Clipper
This is a Moebius Models “Space Clipper” model that I modified to resemble the old Aurora model kit of the same subject put out in 1968-9. I Started by re-scribing new panel lines all over the model pieces as per the photo references culled from the internet. I installed the ParaGrafix photo-etched interior in the model, but the kit windows are so thick and tiny one can hardly see anything at all. I installed LED lighting in the model, and the wiring for their power supply goes down the kit’s support tube into a Radio Shack project box that also serves as the piece’s base. 9VT batteries and a simple slide switch are installed in the base. The spray job is rendered in Testor’s enamels and Krylon Fusion Satin White spray paint. Aftermarket Decals complete the project.
