Steven Vasko’s Clavius Base final update

This is the final upgrade on my scratch-built model of Clavius Base as seen in “2001: A Space Odyssey”,  the upgrade of which was inspired by Adam K. Johnson’s second “2001 The Lost Science” book, which I obtained from this website’s Hobbyshop.  I found in the Clavius Base photos in the book that while my detailing and proportions  in my previous version of the main base complex were a little off (I only had printed internet screen-caps to work from) my interpretation of the main complex’s overall layout was essentially correct.  I modified the complex structures a little and forgo-ed many of the ground-level  “probes” that jutted out from the Base walls seen in the book photos to “de-clutter” the overall layout of the main complex and make it more understandable.  (I also wanted to make my model resemble the old MPC “Moonbase Alpha model kit in some ways.)  I finished up by re-painting the lunar ground in a darker shade of Gray in an effort to maintain both screen accuracy and the overall contrast in the model.
