Scott Copeland’s Metropolis bust

This is a neat little cold-cast porcelain kit of the robot Maria from “Metropolis” I picked up from James the Kitkong guy. Pretty simple, nothing to assemble, just a few seam lines and defects to fill and smooth out. I had it ready to primer in less than a half hour, I used Duplicolor Sandable Auto Primer in light coats, it had no problem adhering nicely to the porcelain. I sprayed the robot with Vallejo Model Air “Metallic Gunmetal”, after that dried I went over the high points where light would reflect with their “Metallic Silver”. I think it gave it a good dramatic “black&white” effect. Did the base in glass black, and the rings on the base in buffable metallic waxes “antique gold” & “aged pewter” to jazz up the base a little more. Fun little simple project, it’ll look great on my bookshelf!
