Scott Copeland’s Dark Knight Rises
This was a quick & fun project. Dragon did a good job on this kit, it has a great likeness and the parts fit together like butter. With some help from a hair dryer and some Tech-Bond, it required no putty. I primed and basecoated the Batsuit with Duplicolor Sandable Primer “Black”, then applied a light coat of Badger Freak Flex “Near Black” to the armored plates to give them a little contrast. I left the vinyl shoulder pads and cowl alone, and just misted them with Dullcoat, it gave them a nice “rubbery” effect. I did the cape in flat black and Dullcoat to knock off the vinyl shine. Face was primered with Tamiya primer and airbrushed with Badger “Suntan Flesh” and detailed with Com-Art. Belt & Batarang were airbrushed with MM “Brass” and weathered with Com-Art. Really enjoyed this kit, it was well-engineered and makes a nice display with very little work.
