Paul Mirich’s Munsters

I finally finished my Grandpa and Herman Munster kits. I decided to light the models so I drilled out the lights on Grandpa’s power box and replace them with real blinking lights I bought on E-Bay which were originally sold at Walgreen’s. I also replaced the tips of Herman’s electric charger with glowing lights which were nothing more than a set of “flickering candles” from Hobby Lobby. I cut the tips off of charger and the bulbs were a perfect fit. To add more realism to Grandpa’s power box, I cut out the molded gears and replaced them with old electronic components from an old TV remote control and used clear plastic for glass. Other items I added were Herman’s cat “Kitty” under the table, the wall clock with the crow, mirror, and the keys to the dungeon all hanging on the wall and a chest all purchased at Michael’s. The styrofoam back wall bricks and base were bought at Hobby Lobby. Inside the chest is an old electric engine painted to look rusty. Finally on Herman’s table I added some glass jars with labels I found on the internet and shrunk down to size. The items in the jars are small round white cake toppings to look like eyes and various spices.

Next, 1313 Mockingbird Lane!
