On The Bench 300: Sylvain Rivest’s Tarantula part 2
These are, in a nutshell, putting the hair on the tarantula. The material and technique are quite simple, although, I’ll be sure of the result when I apply the paint. It’s worth a try (the model itself is very well moulded, like the others of the Gigantics series).

Again, from my 1/35 scale military modeling, I found a new use for a material called “static grass,” short strands of fiber material that can be glued on any modeling surfaces. In this instance, I mixed carpenter’s glue with a little bit of water for ease of application, then brushed on the glue on one leg segment at a time. Then sprinkling the static grass onto the segment and the finishing touch is to gently blow to remove the excess grass.
It is tedious work , but i think that the final result will be OK ( we’ll see )
