I just finished this 1:1000 scale model of the Monogram kit from 1994. I decided to go with a Mossy Green texture paint for the DSV and hand painted the base that came with the kit.  If you zoom in on the picture you can see the texture paint worked well with the molded textures on the hull.   This was a fun and quick build.
