Comet Miniatures first model kit was this vacuform and white metal Jules Verne’s Nautilus (not to be confused with the sub from the Disney film “20,00 Leagues under the Sea.” No sir, no confusion here. This kit has been replaced by better but slightly smaller spun resin/white metal version based on the never released Airfix kit.

My version has a few extras. The wooden base box contains the batteries that power the motorized prop and the lights for the side portholes and bridge
