Ismael DaVila’s Aliens APC Diorama

The APC model is a 1/35th Halcyon straight from the box with little modifications. Overall color is olive drab and weathered with pastels. Colonial marines are converted military figures with epoxy putty for there torso armor. The weapons — M41A, pulse rifle, flame thrower — are scratchbuilt using 1/35th military weapons painted field green and gunmetal.

The base is celluclay with styrofoam manipulated using a heatgun. It was air brushed flat black, then highlighted with red umber to simulate the weird rocks. When dryed they were glued and pushed into the still wet celluclay. When the base dried I airbrushed with shades of greys and browns. Time spent on this diorama was about 2 months.
