Gary Salerno’s ID4 Alien Attacker diorama

Here are a couple of photos of my Independence Day crashed alien ship. I did a fair amount of research to come up with a paint scheme for this diorama that I think is a good representation of the scene when Will Smith causes the alien ship that is chasing his F-18 to crash after ejecting the planes parachute. Hull damage with exposed wiring was added to the port upper side of the craft along with scorching to the area. The base is made of pink construction foam carved with a hot wire foam cutter. The ship and base are covered in medium and fine ballast which was set in place with scenic cement and then airbrushed in desert colors. Desert plants finish off the piece.
