Dennis Hogan’s Superman
This is a 1/6 scale original Horizon vinyl figure model kit of Superman. Now, this kit was based on a comic book cover that I believe came out back in the eighties after DC Comics published “The Death of Superman”. After he dies, he comes back to life (of course) and is now the more mature and cooler looking Superman you see in this figure. You know, slightly longer hair, but yet still in his classic suit.
The two things I would like to let you know about with this figure are first, I cut holes in the bottom of the legs and then glued the boots into place. Then, I put a small amount of plaster around the seem of the boot so that I could pour plaster from the waist down and have no leakage. This allows for more weight and stability for free standing display of the figure. Finally, when painting this figure, I used “metallic” red and yellow instead of “flat” colors. Just think it looks more vibrant. I also made sure to accentuate his muscles by using a dark blue in the deep detail of the muscles. Overall, a really nice and fun figure kit.
