Dennis Hogan’s Boba Fett from Screamin

This is a 1/4 scale original Screamin vinyl figure model kit of Boba Fett from Star Wars. He stands eighteen inches tall and I have added plaster from the waist down so he is free standing and balanced.

Now, the things that I should point out here are first, that I have built this kit before. Problem is, that the arms simply glue flat onto the upper body piece. This cause concern, because glue can sometimes let go and the arms can fall off if not handled properly. So, this time, I left a lot of the vinyl on his arm instead of trimming it all off. Then, I cut holes in the shoulder where the arm should normally glue into place. Here I created a simple “socket” for both arms to attach and they are now more secure. Next, the head, gun, and jet pack were sometimes falling of the figure, so I got some double sided Velcro and these pieces are now secure, but also removable. Finally, I took a scrap piece of vinyl from the excess on this kit and carved a small piece to attach his control hoses from his arm right to the jet pack (see pic).

The figure comes all together nicely with a paint job that was based on still photos of Boba Fett from the original Star Wars film and a large base bearing his signature logo.
