Dennis Hogan’s Batman Returns

I have not built up any Batman model kits lately, until this one. This is a Horizon vinyl figure model kit build up of Batman from the Movie Batman Returns. Now, Horizon did a much better job on this version of Batman as compared to their first attempt which was based on the first Batman film. This one is much more detailed and has a very striking pose for the final display of the figure.

Now, on this particular model kit, I did not receive any of the “spikes” or talons that are along both of Batman’s gloves. So, I simply took some excess vinyl from the kit and actually carved the spikes out.
In addition to that work, I cut the bottom of both legs out and then glued the boots in place. Then, I poured plaster from the waist line down. This gives the feel of a statue to the figure as well as giving it balance needed for free standing display.

To finish this all off, I created a base for the figure to stand upon. it features the same bat signal insignia that the figure has on his chest.
