Wonderfest 2024 Sneak Peak #4 – Rick Sternbach & SMS Decals

Rick Sternbach is returning to Wonderfest this year! Rick is a long time friend and a wonderful designer and artist. You’ve seen his work in many Star Trek series and movies from Star Trek TNG to Voyager and Nemesis. Some of his art even appeared in Picard. He worked on The Last Starfighter, Cosmos, The Black Hole and more.

Rick is also the designer and producer of the Space Model System decals for various US spacecraft. He has expanded into producing decals that fit into the Trek Universe with the Decal Alternative sets. These new decal sets are based on a science fiction adventure and posted here on the CultTVman website. You don’t want to miss this romp.

Rick will be part of the Art of Making the Future panel on Saturday at Wonderfest along with fellow designers John Eaves, Eric Chu and Darren Dochterman. Don’t miss his presentation on The Art for Making Decals on Saturday.

Rick was also the designer, writer and artist for the Star Trek Spaceflight Chronology, the Enterprise D Blueprints, The DS9 Tech Manual, and and the TNG Tech Manual. His artwork has been featured on numerous books and magazines. And did I mention he has a couple Hugo Awards?

Wonderfest is the biggest and best model show in the western hemisphere for Sci-Fi and Monster modelers. If it is not already your destination, you should be planning for it.
