Wonderfest 2024 Sneak Peak #1 – Star Trek kits

USS Reliant box cover

As we do every year, we’ll have a number of previews for next week’s big event, Wonderfest. CultTVman’s Hobbyshop will be set up in the dealer’s room and we’ll have a full selection of your favorite kits.

The lastest reissue is the Enterprise D, but that is currently sold out and we won’t have a restock until June or July. But we should have all the rest.

The USS Reliant has always been a favorite kit of model builders and we have restocked this popular kit in time for the show. We also have photoetch details from Paragrafix, resin parts from Lake Monster, and paint masks from Paragrafix.

Klingon Bird of Prey packaging

The Klingon Bird of Prey from Star Trek III is another classic kit. This features adjustable wings and landing gear. There is a great hinge set for the wings available from Lake Monster, along with paint masks from Aztek Dummy.

Classic 18-inch USS Enterprise from AMT

The classic 18-inch 1:650 Enterprise kit is likely the most popular Sci-Fi model ever produced. And chances are, if you are reading this, you built it a couple times. Round 2 improved the hull by removing the raised grid detail, and added a great dome style base. There are plenty of aftermarket parts from Paragrafix and Lake Monster.

Classic Enterprise 1:350 scale kit with pilot parts

The BIG Enteprise kit may be the ultimate Star Trek model kit. It measures about 33 inches when assembled, and is designed for lighting. Round 2 makes a great light kit. This version includes the pilot parts so you can build the model in one of the three different configurations seen in the original series.

Kronos One box cover

The most recent “big” kit from Round 2 is Kronos One, which is the upgrated K’t’inga that was depicted in Star Trek VI. Round 2 has produced a light kit, a deluxe photoetch set. We also have Aztek Dummy masks.

I could go on. The reissue of the Enterprise C and Excelsior kits are always popular. The new Galileo Shuttle with a full interior and figures has been one of the most popular kits in recent years. The classic Klingon Battle Cruiser was just reissued. The Enterprise Bridge is always a fun build. There are all the 1:1000 scale kits as well.

We’ll have these at the show so you can pick them up. They are all also available in the CultTVman Hobbyshop.

Wonderfest is June 1-2 at the Crown Plaza in Louisville KY. Please check out the Wonderfest website for all the details about this big event! You don’t want to miss it!
