Wonderfest 2021 Sneak Peak #15 – some final previews

In just a couple hours, I’ll be hitting the road for Louisville and Wonderfest. I’ve talked a lot about what you’ll be able to see at the CultTVman booth in the Dealer’s Room. I’ve talked a bit about the guest that are coming and I’ve mentioned the incredible, amazing model contest they have every year.

But I think the best thing about Wonderfest is that I have met so many wonderful people and made some life long friendships through the show. This hobby has a way of bringing people together, and not just model builders. We all have a bit of enthusiasm for science fiction and monster movies and television shows. Our interests are slightly off the beaten path. And we are passionate about the things we love including models.

So if this is your first Wonderfest, or your twentieth, take a moment to build those friendships. Talk about building models and what your favorites are. Check out the contest and the demos and enjoy what others are doing. You won’t regret it.

So I did promise some final previews before I leave…

The Spindrift is coming. The shipment has not arrived yet, but it should be in our warehouse as soon as the end of June. But more likely July as shipping has been experiencing delays. But I wanted the kit to be at Wonderfest. So I had a couple cases sent airmail just for the show. We’ll have 20 kits available as a “Wonderfest Pre-Release Edition.”

And one more little surprise awaits. We’ll have the upcoming Vampirella model on display at the show. This is a built up test shot that came directly from X-Plus. The kit will be out later in the year, so it is NOT available yet. But when you see how wonderful the model looks in person, you are going to want one for your collection.
