Wonderfest 2019 is over….

Another Wonderfest has come and gone. I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Wonderfest is the best. It is the place where we come together to celebrate the modeling hobby, and specifically, that part of the hobby that centers on figures, monsters, spacecraft and more. This was my 22nd Wonderfest and each one is unique and often tops the last one. What makes Wonderest special each year are the contributions from all who attend, help out, share, support, and participate in this unique community.
Let me take a moment to thank the wonderful folks that help out with the CultTVman booth and suite. Kirk Schermerhorn, Scott Copeland, David Metzner, Jim James, Dave Bengel, Lisa Greco, and anyone else I may be forgetting. They get us unloaded, set up, help customers, tear down, and pack up. They are the best and I could not do it without them. Special thanks to Rick Evans, Lou Dalmaso, Paul Bodensiek, Jimmy Flintstone for all the last minute crazyness and support getting product ready.
The Wonderfest staff are the amazing people that pull together this event every year. The model show, the dealers room, the seminars, guests, and all the other balls they juggle and keep in the air. David Hodge, Melinda Angstrom, Lee Staton, Breau Kaelin, Brian Ludden, George Seletas, Marci Seletas, Tony Hardy, Rocko Jerome, Drew Roberts, Dave Conover and alll those I am over looking. Forgive me.
I look forward each year to seeing my fellow vendors including George Stephenson, Terry J Webb, Ron Gross, John Struck, Jamie Hood and the Round 2 crew, Aaron B Skinner and his team from Fine Scale Modeler, Michael W. Griffith, George Takacs, Mark Warthling, Shanna Warthling, and again, I am sorry for omitting anyone!
Each year, Wonderfest has variety of guests, artists, film professionals. Many have become good friends and like so many of us, they return to the show when they can. Rick Sternbach, Eric Chu, Frank Dietz, Ken Palkow, and a shout out to the B-9 Builders Club.
I want to specially thank Marta Kristen, the one and only Judy Robinson. Marta is one of the most charming and lovely persons I have ever met. She makes everyone she meets feel special. She signed autographs and posed for pictures all weekend, always with a smile. Thank you so much for joining us and making Wonderfest even more special.
Wonderfest would be nothing if it were not for all the model builders that come to the event, bring their models and participate. It seems we only get a few minutes and I know I always miss some folks. We’re always busy and I wish I had more time to chat with everyone. I could not even begin to thank everyone. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy lives to join us at Wonderest, and I thank you for supporting CultTVman. I am grateful for all the kind words you had to say about us. You have my heartfelt appreciation.
I am a lucky guy to be a part of this community. We will do it again next year.
