Wonderfest 2017 Preview #2 – Monarch’s Monster Pack!

At Wonderfest this year, we’ll have the Dracula/Jekyll & Hyde kit available.   This was available for a limited time in early 2016 from Monarch directly before the company closed its doors.   This kit features two figures, based on the Aurora Monster Scenes kits that were released in Canada only, back in 1975 or so.    The original Aurora kits were eventually reworked into the Monsters of the Movies line of models.

Dracula is molded in black plastic and includes two sets of arms and legs.   He can optionally carry a candlestick and a set of keys.   One set of arms was intended for Drac to hold the Aurora Victim.   The Jekyll/Hyde figure features two sets of arms, one carrying a walking stick.  It also comes with a cocktail glass.  The model has three different heads — Jekyll, Hyde, and a mid-transformation head.  The figures also come with additional glow-in-the-dark parts.   The main cover is by Gary Makatura.  The artwork on the instructions and box sides are by John Graziano.
