Wonderfest 2013 News: Sci-Fi and more from Round 2

Here’s a bit more from the folks at Round 2.   The acquisition of Lindberg and Hawk has caused some delays in their kit production.   Many of the products announced for later in 2013 have been pushed back to 2014.

Round 2 will be reissuing the old MPC Space 1999 kits – The Eagle, Moonbase, and Alien.    The kits will be straight reissues, with improved decals.    They’d like to do the Hawk as well, but they don’t have the tooling for it.

As we know, Round 2 has a license for the movies Alien and Aliens.   On their drawing boards are kits of the Sulaco, and a resin figure of Kane.   Depending on sales, they could do further kits including a Nostromo.   The Alien kits are planned for sometime in 2014.

There will be a lighted version of the C57D.   This had a great spinning effect for the engine.
