Where is Cult?
It’s been pretty quiet on the website this past week and I am sorry about that. Last weekend I took a short trip to California to take in some touristy things and visit some friends. I had a blast visiting friends and meeting lots of great people.
I did get away to Disneyland for a long afternoon. If you haven’t been there in a long time, it is worth the trip. The highlight was the Haunted Mansion with the special Christmas decorations done up as Nightmare Before Christmas. The Haunted Mansion is always great, but the redecorating for the holidays puts a great new spin on the ride. Its not just the addition of a few things, but they completely re-do the attraction. It is not the same ride as normal!
Of course, the Indiana Jones ride is a blast, and Pirates of the Caribbean is always a joy. The California Pirates is twice the length of the Florida ride. The Nemo Submarines is not quite the same as when it was 20,000 Leagues. Sad to see that ride reworked. We all love the classic 20,000 Leagues.
Universal was all decked out for Christmas complete with singing Whos in Whoville and the Grinch with Max. The highlight there was the new 3-D King Kong that was part of the backlot tour. The tram finds itself on Skull Island with Kong fighting dinosaurs all around you. It is 3D and Imax and totally amazing. The tour skipped the Back to the Future square this time around. Of course the Simpsons ride is a blast. They have a great haunted house with the Universal Monsters. Fun.
This week, I’ve been playing catch up with the CultTVman Hobbyshop and dealing with a bunch of preorders that have come in. I had hoped to update the Hobbyshop site this weekend, but we’ve been dealing with some frustrating internet access issues. So stay tuned.
I hope to have more updates on the site this week.
I hope everyone has a great Christmas and Holiday Season. Best to you all.
Steve
