Tom Parker – good bye to an old friend.
My friend Tom Parker passed away this past week.
Tom Parker loved models. He could talk endlessly about them and he always had a story or three to tell you. I got to know him back in the late 90’s over on the Polar Lights Bulletin Board where he was first known as “Bwain” and later “Bwain No More” or something like that. He produced a series of replacement heads for the Aurora monsters selling them under the “Cult of Personality” brand. We only met a couple of times over the years, first at Wonderfest and later at Chiller, where he was always enteraining. Over the years we talked frequently on the phone. If Tom called, it was going to be 90 minutes on the phone. I wish I had a better photo to show, but it was the only one I could find at the moment.
I’m really going to miss those phone calls. Even the crazy ones. Good night my friend.
Thanks to Rick Evans for this photo of Tom at Wonderfest back in 2005
