This process also took several attempts. To top it off and increase the emphasis the weathering, I used a Sakura Micron .005 black pen to fill in the panel lines and the insides of the vents.

The whole kit was sealed with Acryl Satin. Now for the clear parts… I used WM to dry brush the inside of the wave motion guns

and the outside of the auxiliary engine exhausts. I also used some to shade the center portion of each of these

I mixed a little black into some WM and used that on the wave motion engine nozzle. To help diffuse the light, the back surfaces of all the clear parts were sanded with wet/dry fine grit. The cavities behind them were also filled with sewing batting.
