Sneak Peak: Moonbase Alpha from Round 2

Look what showed up today!   Here’s an advance look at the Moonbase Alpha, coming soon!

Here’s the new box cover, featuring a build up of the redesigned kit.   You’ll notice that the layout is more complete than the previous version, featuring all the landing pads and a more symmetrical layout.  For comparison, here is the original box below.

You’ll see that the original base was 18 x 12 inches and had a spot for the control room.

The back of the box shows the new model built up.   The new base measures 17 x 17 inches.  The Command Center is intended to be displayed separately

Here are the newly tooled parts, including five landing pads, correctly scaled Eagles, and travel tubes.   On the original kit, the tubes were molded into the vacuform base.

Here are the four new vacuform panels for the base.  The original was just two panels.  This is much more accurate.
