Scott Copeland’s Galactica
Here’s some shots of my build-up of Coby’s Battlestar Galactica. The casting and fit were so nice it only took about 15 minutes to prep and assemble. I primered it with Duplicolor “Hot Rod Grey” sandible primer, over that I drybrushed it with Testor’s “Light Aircraft Grey” lightened and darkened with any spare greys I had.I airbrushed it with Future, and placed on the decals. I used a Imex brush to lighten and darken individual panels, then washed the whole thing with Detailer “Black” and ‘blue”. After some more drybrushing I sealed the whole thing with Dullcoat. Even though it’s only seven inches long the detail on it is pretty nice right down to the decal landing strips in the landing bays. The base was simply done with a airbrushed basecoat of Testor’s “Metallic Black” and the medallion was drybrushed with MM’s “Bright Brass”.
