Round 2 Star Trek News – from Wonderfest
This falls into the “better late than never” file. Round 2 had a lot of news at Wonderfest in June! I posted a little bit in the CultTVman Hobbyshop, but now I finally have a little time to post more info and photos. As always, you will be able to preorder these in the CultTVman Hobbyshop, but right now, we don’t have pricing or further information to post on a lot of these.
In the “coming soon” department, we’ll first take a look at the new 1:350 scale Kronos 1 kit. This is an updated, partially retooled version of the K’t’inga, to show the ship as featured in Star Trek VI. The model will come with metallic gold decals to detail out the kit. Additionally, there will be an upgraded light kit that can be used for both the Kronos 1 and K’t’inga kits. Round 2 will also release an extensive photoetch set, produced by Paragrafix.

Your can preorder the Kronos One kit, light kit, and photoetch in the CultTVman Hobbyshop. These are expected to arrive later this summer.

Big news from Lower Decks fans! There will be a USS Cerritos model kit!

No release date or price is available yet, but it is expected before the end of the year.
Last year, Round 2 said they intended to update the USS Enterprise from Star Trek Discovery to the Enterprise as seen in Strange New Worlds.

The revised model features a new primary hull with new window detail around the rim, as well as extra panel detail around the bridge and upgraded bridge. The will be more details on the warp nacelles. There will also be a light kit and Aztec decals.
Round 2 hopes to have the kit out by the end of the year, but this could slip to 2024.

Round 2 is also reissuing the 1:1400 Enterprise D and Aztec decals. This will be molded in the translucent white, like the Voyager and Enterprise c kits. The 1:650 Klingon Battle Cruiser will be reissued in the original box style, with the ringed planet art. Dates and prices are TBA.
There will also be reissues of the 1:1000 Refit Enterprise & Reliant decals and a reissue of the Enterprise decals for Discovery.
As noted previously, Round 2 is still interested in producing larger 1:350 scale Reliant, a 1:1000 scale Enterprise D, and other kits. At this time, these are not on the schedule. There was also a lot of interest in the new Enterprise-G/Titan featured in Picard. Round 2 is committed to the Star Trek license and hopes to be able to produce more new its in the future.
That’s a quick wrap of the Star Trek projects. As you cans see, that is a full load of kits! But there is more! I’ll follow up with another post in Star Wars and other subjects from Round 2.
