Round 2 reissues for the first part of 2016

amtEnteranniversary

There hasn’t been a lot of information or many announcements this year with regards to new releases or reissues from anyone.  There was no iHobbyExpo in October so there has been little in the way of major kit announcements from any of the model companies.   This past week I finally received official word of new releases for early 2016 from Round 2.  I don’t have much to show with regards to images.   Here you go:

  • USS Enterprise 50th Anniversary Edition.  This is the classic 18-inch, 1:650 scale Enterprise that was originally produced in 1966.   This is the most recent version of the kit, with the upper grid removed.   This time around, they have upgraded the base with the standard dome that comes with most all the Round 2 kits.   It also features commemorative packaging celebrating 50 years of Star Trek.
  • Klingon Bird of Prey reissue.  This appears to be a straight reissue of the kit.  I expect it will still include the landing gear upgrades.   Scale is listed as 1:350, but that is subject to debate.
  • Excelsior Aztec decals – We were told about this previously, but it is now official.  These will be sold separately from the reissued USS Excelsior kit.
  • Batman Returns Batmissile – reissue of the AMT kit from the 1992 movie
  • Batman Returns Batwing – another reissue from the 1992 movie.

More info and photos when I have it.   All of these products are listed in the CultTVman Shop for Preorder.
