Round 2 News: Space 1999 Eagle and more!
Round 2 has provided a sneak peak of their Wonderfest announcements for new products in late 2019. The big news is an all new tooling of the Space 1999 Eagle in true 1:72 scale. The new kit will be about 14 inches and accurate to the studio model. If you want to see how much better the new kit is, just look at the image below where the new model is shown along side the original MPC kit.
In addition to the new Eagle kit, Round 2 will be releasing a new 22-inch Eagle 2 prebuild display model. This new model is based on an alternate Eagle from the series. It has different side engine pods, that are slightly smaller than the standard Eagle. The engine tanks have a different arrangement. Photos are not yet available for this new display model. We are taking preorders for the two Space 1999 models in the CultTVman Hobbyshop. The display model will require a deposit.

In addtion to reissuing the 16-inch Godzilla kit, Round 2 is releasing a Godzilla “Planetary Defense Vehicle” from Invasion of the Astro Monster. Here is the box art. This is a repackaging of the 1:25 Wills Jeep, with a Godzilla backdrop
And Round 2 is also releasing a kit of the 1967 Impalla featured in the TV series Supernatural. No photos are available yet. Stay tuned for preorders.
