Round 2 News! New Space 1999 and Star Trek kits!
We have a little news to pass along from Round 2 today. Several new kits will be coming in late 2017. We don’t have any images yet, so we’ll have to make do with what we have…
The new Star Trek kit will be a 1:1000 scale USS Defiant as seen in Deep Space Nine. This should be about 7 inches long if my calculations are correct. It will be a snap kit, like the other 1:1000 scale kits.
Round 2 is also continuing their line of Space 1999 kits. The first item is a 1:48 scale diorama set described as Nuclear Waste Area #2. The set will include a Moon Buggy, 8 lamp stands with bases and lighting kit, hexagonal storage containers, nuclear waste covers, and 10 figures. All this is in scale with the 22-inch Eagle. As a bonus, the kit will come with a 1:24 scale Moon Buggy with figures.
There are two more new Space 1999 items. There will be a fully assembled display model of the 22-inch Eagle. It won’t be cheap! And there will also be an accessory set of four Nuclear Waste Canisters to go with the upcoming Cargo Pod Eagle.
I expect there will be more information available at Wonderfest. We’ll pass along any further news as we get it.
