Round 2 news from Wonderfest

Razor Crest promo image

I’m still catching up from Wonderfest, but I am finally posting the news from Round 2. I am sure you have already heard about this and seen pictures, but in case you have not, here it is

The exciting news is that Round 2 is producing several all new kits and they are scheduled to come out before the end of the year. First up is the Razor Crest from the Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. The prototype was not on display, but I did get a sneak peak. It is a beautifully detailed model and looks to be 14 to 16 inches long. This is a different kit from the model announced from Revell or the small palm sized Bandai kit.

The next kit is the USS Grissom, a 1:350 scale kit of the ship first seen in Star Trek III – The Search for Spock. And there will be a 1:48 scale Hawk from Space:1999.

Round 2 is digging into the vault of older tools to reissue many of the vintage Star Wars kits, some with major improvements. The Millennium Falcon will have corrected sidewalls, radar dish, and new engine grills. This classic is the same size as the Bandai and Fine Molds Falcons, at 18 inches and 1:72 scale.

Other Star Wars kits include Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter with improved details and Boba Fett’s Starfighter Slave One. Slave One will be packaged as featured in The Manadalorian. Other previously announced reissues include the small scale X-Wing, B-Wing, and AT-AT.

Also announced was the Batman Forever Batmobile, which is a reissue of the Revell kit. On display was the box for Godzilla’s Go Cart, and build ups of the Space:1999 Commlock & Stun Gun, the Haunted Manor models, and the USS Voyager.

Other bits of news – The Classic TV Enterprise 1:350 kit will be getting a reissue, as will the original 18 inch 1/650 model. The 4th Wacky Races kit, Peter Perfect’s car, will be coming in 2022.

Of course, I have listed these for preorder on the CultTVman Hobbyshop site. Please note we don’t have all the pricing details yet and will update as it becomes available.
