Round 2 news from Wonderfest
So I am running a little behind, but I am finally getting some additional photos from Wonderfest
The real news of the day was Round 2 announcing the 1:2500 USS Discovery. At that scale, the kit will be about 12 inches. Further kits from Star Trek Discovery will follow and R2 was interested in what modelers were looking for.
Round 2 also announced they would be reissuing their Godzilla kits, including the big 16″ Godzilla, the smaller Lindberg Godzilla, and the Monsters of the Movies Rodan and Ghidorah.
Batman reissues continue. The ’89 Batmobile and Joker’s Cruiser will be reissued with figures. Also Ecto-1 will be reissued with a little Slimer figure.
I actually missed this one. The Rio Grande Runabout from Deep Space Nine is getting a reissue, late in 2018.
The star of the show as the 1:350 Klingon K’t’inga. The mock up was on display. I’ll post more photos of that in a separate post. The project is moving forward quickly. Test shots should be arriving this week. The kit is expected late in 2018 at this time, but don’t be surprised if there are minor delays.
Here’s a look at the Grissom and the Klingon Bird of Prey 1:1000 set, which should be out in August. The BOP can be built with wings in up or down position.
The 1:72 Space: 1999 Hawk has just arrived, as has the 1:1000 USS Defiant below.
