Here is my submission for Star Trek Kits my USS Reliant. I started the project using a stock AMT / Ertl Reliant kit, I made modifications by filing off the shingle like ridges around the edge of the saucer and main hull. Then I replaced these with strips of .010 x .060 styrene spaced at .020 and .030 apart to form the sensor bands and sides of the hull. The ship is painted with Testors Dark Ghost Gray, then I formed the panels on the hull and drive nacelles using strips of tape. I then sprayed the ship again with Light Ghost Gray, Intermediate Blue, and Duck Egg Blue where needed. I installed JT Graphics Reliant decals from Federation models to finish off the project and built a display stand for the ship from a wood block with 2 brass rods extending from the base that slip into the underbelly of the saucer. There is also a brass plate that reads U.S.S Reliant NCC-1864
