Philip Hamrick’s Chariot

Probably the most famous scene involving the Chariot is with the giant Cyclops. I wanted to do something different with my Moebius Chariot model. I chose the Robinsons’ alien encounter on the way back to the Jupiter 2 after finding Prof. Robinson following their crash on Preplanus. The Crow’s Nest Models figures were painted from 1st season publicity photos. John’s space suit is foil wrappers from Hershey’s Kisses. Crow’s Nest also supplied two extra laser rifles as in this scene there are four rifles seen in the rear of the Chariot. There are two rifles that come with the Chariot kit but I wanted all four to be alike and the Crow’s Nest rifles are much more detailed. The lighting kit is from VooDoo FX and the backlit instrument panel is from Outer Space Outfitters. The Aztek Dummy painting masks were used for the interior color instead of painting as well as masking the outside of the canopy for painting.  The scanner, radar dish, and solar panel upgrade parts are made by Trylon.

All the landscaping materials are made by Woodland Scenics. The rocks are from a mold and were cast in resin rather than plaster. The backdrop poster is available from Cafepress.com. The tumbleweed is excelsior moss purchased from Hobby Lobby. Eventually it will have a lighting kit in it.
