Monarch Update – Sept 2023 – Konga, Sinbad, and the Moon Suit

We have new box art and updates on upcoming kits from Monarch Models. First to come is a reissue of Sinbad in a square box. This is a reissue of the kit from about 10 years ago.

Sinbad is expected to arrive in October and we should have it at the Monsterama show in Atlanta, with guests Caroline Munro and Patrick Wayne, stars of Ray Harryhausen’s Sinbad movies.

The Moon Suit is expected to arrive in late 2023, if all goes well. Production is complete and the kit is being shipped from the factory. This was one of the first kits announced by Monarch many years ago and many people are looking forward to it.

Konga is now planned for mid-2024. It had been delayed while the company was focusing on The Fly and the Moon Suit. We’ll post more new as it becomes available.

The final bit of news from Monarch is that the Styracasaurus has been canceled. Monarch has further kits under consideration and we’ll post news as it becomes available.
