Mike Botelho’s Lunar Seaview
This is the 24-inch Lunar Models TV Seaview that came out in the late 80’s/early 90’s. It was not a very accurate rendition of the sub and was later discontinued in favor of the larger 32-inch Seaview. Anyone who’s owned this kit knows why. When I first saw it all unassembled, I realized the whole front nose area had to be modified. This involved constructing a flying sub bay and a flying sub from scratch as the Lunar one was grossly inaccurate. Anyhow I did all that plus an interior for the nose viewport area. I also used magnets to hold the FS-1 in the docking bay.
In spite of all the work that went into this kit I think I like it the most of all the Seaview kits in same scale out there. If I ever come across another one , I’ll probably build it as it was meant to be.
