Kyle Clark’s Polar Lights Enterprise

Well here’s the first one out of the gate. Very cool kit. A little small for all of the detail you have to put in but a great kit nevertheless. I did a simple weather wash over most of the hull but a little more detail on the top of the saucer. I must say, nice job, this is kit is well made.

This kit caters to all skill levels so even with minimal detail additions you can still come out with a great looking model. It even comes with stickers duplicating the decal package just in case the builder is not good with water slide labels.

For the grids, after I did the weather wash around the saucer, I “penciled” the lines in first (after you weather, the plastic pencil lead does a great job) then used a little thinner with a dark rust color to accent that large ring section under the numbers. The model is molded in the perfect color so all you have to do is weather it. How many years have we all searched for that light gray?
