John Eighmy’s Revell Enterprise

I knew that the Polar Lights Giant E was coming out later in the year, but I wanted something other than the 1/1000 and the old AMT options.   Everyone has heard about how inaccurate the Revell Germany kit is from certain angles, and how the gridlines are too deep, and not canon.    But I can tell you from this builders’ point of view, this was a blast to build!

I started by filling in all of the scribed lines, and I wanted to try lighting for the very first time. The model is great that it gives the clear window inserts purposefully for lighting the kit. I also added a sound board to the base which plays the opening theme, transporter sounds, phasers/torpedo firing, red alert, end of episode fly by music.
