Jim James’ Babylon Five

I’ve finished my R-M “Babylon 5” Station kit at last. Nearly the entire model is covered with decals. I scanned sections of the models decal sheet and reproduced pattern to make entire decal sheets of paneling. The most obvious area is the front section (R-M only supplies the checkboard pattern and the cobra bay decals). The mounting point is to the rear of the solar panels allowing the hull to still rotate (oh, boy!). This mounting method would allow motorization but, hey, I’m not that mechanically inclined.

The base is an air brushed wooden plate ($10, Michael’s craft shop) and the Minbari cruiser is AoG’s metal model. The entire display is designed to hang on the wall.
