iHobbyExpo 2013 Highlights
As promised, here is a much anticipated look at the highlights from iHobbyExpo. This isn’t a comprehensive listing, but you’ll find a lot to be interested in. I’ll have plenty more photos and information later.
From the folks at Pegasus, there are two new dinosaurs in the works, the Spinosaurus and the Liopleurodon. Build ups of the previously announced dino kits were on display with fantastic paint work by Shane Foulkes. CultTVman is also happy to share that new 50’s style spacecraft are in the works, the Luna and the Cosmo.
Pegasus also had a partial build of the Mars Hopper designed by Randy Cooper. This is a big kit!
Over at the Round 2 booth, a test shot of Superman was show, along with the mock up of the Wicked Witch. Build ups of the Star Trek Bridge was shown, along with the Star Trek Exploriation set. The Exploration set is coming out in the later square box. Also being reissued is the Defiant.
A few new items coming from Lindberg (now part of Round 2) include the long delayed Transparent T-Rex, which has never been out before. Also coming is a reissue of the old Moon Probe
On the Polar Lights side, CultTVman can share that a new Alien Queen is in the works
There will also be a Deluxe C57D coming complete with the light kit and spring loaded landing gear.
Moebius models had a number of prepainted, assembled display models including Grandpa and Herman Munster, the Munsters House, Mars Attacks, and various Galactica ships. Batman was on display, along with the LIS Robot, Cylon Raider, and classic Galactica. They look pretty fantastic.
And Moebius is announcing two new figures. Superman and General Zod from Man of Steel. These will be resin kits with incredible detail.
I’ll post more information and photos soon. I hope to have more to tell you before the show is over.
