Gino Dykstra’s Cardassian Warship

Here’s another of the finer AMT Star Trek releases, their Cardassian warship. This one was built basically out of the box, with airbrushing being my main interest in the finishing process. The colors are subtle and fun to do. Masking was done mostly with a simple piece of card being held at the joint line between colors — similar to what was done with the original, I believe. I airbrushed the backside of the clear parts to make them interesting, but otherwise this was almost exclusively an exercize in the use of paint. Enamels were used throughout, and the base was done in a nice bronze color to offset the model somewhat. A fun build, any way you look at it!
