Gino Dykstra’s A-Wing

This is a resin model in 1/72nd of the A-Wing fighter, made for a customer of mine who’s a Star Wars fanatic. Of all the models I have made for him so far, this was by far the most difficult, due to the combination of relatively poor casting and small size. There were a lot of pinholes on the castings as well as just rough parts, such as the engine rings. Ultimately, though, the model came out looking good, although I had to scratch parts such as the gun units and pilot.

A challenging build, but satisfying nonetheless.
