Discovery images from Moebius

Moebius Models recently posted a number of Discovery photos on their Facebook page.   I’ve reposted them hear for everyone to see.   The images were used in the production of the box art.   The text is also from Moebius Models.

This is currently on track for mid December shipping.  There may be delays.  We are still taking preorders in the CultTVman Shop

Moebius Models:  As I like to point out to people, we give you the basic, it’s up to you how far you want to go. Many expect that absolutely everything will be in the box to make this look like a prop replica, but you’re modeler’s, correct? If there’s something you don’t like, change it. If someone, hint hint, has a photoetch set that adds more detail that you want, it’ll be out there.

41 odd inches long, it’s about the best scale we could decide on. Any smaller, spine would have no real detail. Any larger, and where do you put it?

Things like this section is where cost of tooling becomes a factor. This is all done by copper electrodes burning the steel, it’s not a CNC cut tool.

We’ve tried to add as much detail as possible, but keep it within limits so the price didn’t get any further out of hand.

No stands in this images, but the stands are small enough that they won’t detract from the kit itself. I have a feeling someone will do more than what we have, our stand set is VERY basic.
