Dennis Hogan’s Robotech

About twenty-five years ago, I was walking through a Toys r us store and came across several Robotech model kits that were pretty beat up. I thought I might pick them up and put them together. You know, just a little fun time building model kits.
I thought at the time that they were really cool. Fully articulated and highly detailed.  Well, somehow, I came across one again recently. This time, however, I built and painted the thing a little bit different than in the past. Hope you all like it.

The figure is seven and a half inches tall. Fully articulated. So, I painted certain pieces before I constructed the figure.
Then, I puttied certain seems. Not all of them. I want it to look like a Robot. Now, it is important here to realize that I have already painted part of the figure. So, I carefully sand the putty down smooth. Then wipe the entire figure down with a clean and damp paper towel to remove any dust. This way I can paint again when it is all dry.

I mix several water based paints and thin them out with water for the base coat. Then the same thing for the Camouflage.
I let the paint dry. The next day I place decals on the figure. These are left to dry overnight and then I finish with a wash of black and brown.
