Dennis Hogan’s Predator

This is my Billiken Predator. Stands about twelve inches tall and is highly detailed. Now, due to the detail of the kit itself, I found that it was somewhat unbalanced while standing with its possible feet. This is apparently due to thin vinyl needed to cast the fine detail. This makes the kit a bit heavy on top with all of his Armour and gun on top. So, I fixed the feet into a stance that allowed for the best balance and filled the lower half of the figure with plaster.

The arm and hands are movable for different positioning. There are also three different faces or masks that can be put into place, however, it does take an enormous amount of heat to change them out, so I have stayed with the closed mouth.

A lot of different washes and dry brush techniques were achieved here. Now, the original designer of this figure kit said, “remember banana” when painting this kit. You know, yellowish as a base and then different levels of browns. I think that was achieved here, let me know what you think.

Finally, I put together a cool looking and small base. I was going to go larger, but I like the smaller display not only for the look, but the overall size.
