CultTVman is growing!

CultTVman started as a website back in 1996,  It was intended to be a resource for model builders that like science fiction and monster models.   Like so many of us, I grew up building Aurora monsters and AMT Star Trek kits.    Along the way, CultTVman turned into an online hobby shop, offering model kits and other model products to people that like building space ships and monsters.  Somehow, this little operation grew from a part time sideline business to a full time occupation.   I never anticipated this.

Today, we have a couple announcements.

First, I am excited to tell you that CultTVman’s Hobbyshop is moving into a new warehouse, located in Lawrenceville GA.    The business has grown and we really can’t run it out of the space we have.   Our new location will allow us to better serve all our customers.    We’ll be able to consolidate our warehouses and products in one place for a smoother operation.   This is something we’ve really needed to do for a while and it is finally happening.

The second bit of news is that CultTVman is growing.   We have purchased the wholesale distribution business of Doll and Hobby,  formerly owned by Frank and Joanne Winspur.    Earlier this year, Frank sold Moebius Models.   At that time, he offered me the opportunity to take over their wholesale operations.   We are launching a new company called Doll and Hobby Georgia, and will continue to distribute hobby products to small hobby businesses, comic shops, and other specialty sellers.    We are carrying products from Moebius Models, Pegasus Hobbies, and the Round 2 brands including AMT, Polar Lights, Lindberg, and MPC.   We specialize in science fiction, fantasy, and comic book subjects, but are not limited to those genres.    We’ll continue to serve Doll and Hobby’s customers, and are looking forward to growing and expanding the business.     Feel free to contact us if you need a hobby distributor that shares your interests in spaceships and monsters!   We have set up a small website for the new company.   Not much to look at there yet.

We’re off to Wonderfest this weekend, and when we return next week, we’ll be busy moving into the new space, setting up the office, installing phones, and getting settled.    We’ll post some pictures.   Stay tuned.

Thanks to all our customers that has helped make CultTVman and Doll & Hobby GA successful!
